There is a hole in my upstairs hallway:
Soon.... this will be the new, exciting location of my washer/dryer!
Upstairs! Hurrah! I don't know the timeline of when Aaron thinks he'll be done - but now that the hole is in the wall....
Imagine. Not having to cart laundry up and down the stairs. Heaven.

Thank you so much for your comment on my blog! That means A LOT to me! I don't see myself as strong, but I'm getting there.
YAY for not carting laundry up and down the stairs! Stairs suck!

I agree, an upstairs laundry is a must. We had one in our townhouse, and some people who looked at our house when we were selling actually didn't like that it was upstairs...how weird is that?! I mean, your clothes are upstairs, so why wouldn't anyone like that??
Heh,
Now the hole is in the wall, he's committed to finishing the job :)

Our laundry is actually in the bathroom on our main floor right next to our bedroom. I love this. I really, really do.

Ooooo....JEALOUS. I crave a laundry area that does not involve stairs. You lucky!

No turning back now that a hole is in the wall. (although at my house, that just means that I have to stare at a hole for a nice long while until I get around to fixing it) I agree with you--not having to tote laundry up and down the stairs is a definite plus!
Oops. I forgot. Here from ICLW.
Oooo! An upstairs laundry! I'm *so* jealous. We have a 5 level split and my w/d are in the basement. Heck I'd settle for a laundry chute.
Enjoy!

Yay!!! That's the way to do it. Just punch the hole and then there will be no way to ignore it.
I would love to have my washer/dryer right outside the bedrooms. I have them in the garage right now and even that's a bother.

Good luck on your home renovation project. Happy ICL Week :)

That's an amazing concept! I swear the longest part of doing laundry for me is waiting for DH to carry it up or down stairs! Hope he gets it done soon for you!
I never quite understood why houses are usually designed with the laundry rooms separate from the sleeping areas. It seems like a no brainer to me!
What a magnificent plan...laundry upstairs is THE BEST!!!
Yes, laundry rooms on the same floor as bedrooms! Genius.
You are so lucky to have a hubby that can do these things! My husband, god bless him, can barely hang a picture.
