OK. Two things happened yesterday that I think helped me calm down. First, Aaron and I had a little blow out. Nothing major - but it felt good to yell! He has been so freaking cranky with his hives (understandably) and I've been so stressed out - we both just lost it. And then realized how silly it was.
Second thing was that I confronted the owner of my yoga studio. The past few weeks, I've felt that my instructor had been 'nasty' and it kind of came to a head on Thursday morning. I was having trouble concentrating (um, EDD and I had already worked 80 hours that week!?!), and therefore trouble balancing. I was also tired. Being in 110 degree heat was making me feel a little nauseous... so I was coming out of poses and needing water.... mostly just moving around more than usual. And he snapped at me - "lay down or just stand there! You are messing us up." By 'us' he meant himself and the one other person in class. It was a 6 AM class, for christ's sake. I started crying - which no one could tell, since the sweat and the tears looked the same - but honestly. Yoga making me cry!?! WTF. I asked around and other people were feeling the same way - so I just called the owner of the studio and told her how I feel. She said she would give Dan the feedback - I just hope she doesn't use my name, and I have this backfire on me. But I guess it was stressing me out more than I knew.
I'm now in the 2WW. Aaron is gone on business for the week. I have plans to hang out with girlfriends both tonight and Weds night... which will be nice. AF is due around the 29th... so I'll probably start lupron on the 20th or so. It's getting closer! Now, if only I could here from the insurance lady to be sure we were a go for that plan.....

This is really a rough time for you! One stressful thing is enough, but you've got an awful lot piled on top of each other. I truly hope that this last DIY cycle works, and that the 2WW flies by. I'll be back to check in on you...
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I really appreciate your comments.
Thanks for visiting me...
Yoga should NOT be stressful! I am so sorry that you had this excperience, and I think that you did the right thing by calling the studio.
IF deals us so much crap and we never know where it's gonna come from. I wish you lots of peace today.
I'm glad you are feeling a little better about things. Good for you for standing up for yourself with the yoga studio! I hope you enjoy your time with your friends this week and are able to relax and have a quiet week.
I hope things work out for you at the yoga studio. At least you spoke up, I usually just let things bother me.
Um yeah. Your yoga instructor should NOT have snapped at you at that... he of all people should know that people have good and bad days in yoga.
Seriously. grrr!!!
Funny, J and I had a blowout yesterday too - guess it was just the day for it...
Hey - good on you for giving feedback on his treatment of you! Whoo hoo - you go girl!
Glad to hear things are better after the blow-up. Sometimes you just need to let the steam out, you know? :)
I agree - yoga is supposed to be relaxing and definitely NOT stressful! You did the right thing! But, I know myself - I do Yoga at home. :) I can't take classes like that (I hate people in general!).
Blow-outs are needed from time to time - settles the air a bit. I hope things get better for you!
Thanks for the tattoo input! I really hope your yoga instructor shapes up - or maybe you could go to a different class. Yoga is supposed to be relaxing!
Good luck with your 2WW!
Funny you should mention yoga because I was thinking about joining the new yoga studio in town specifically because I thought it would be relaxing. Your class sounds anything but! I hope the owner speaks to your instructor and things improve.
In the meantime, here is a heaping glass of grain alcohol :-) Hope insurance stuff comes through this week.
First let me say I can’t believe you worked an 80-hour week AND went to 6am yoga! That’s amazing! And good for you that you reported that asswipe. I would never make it in his class! In fact, if you want, I could go with you and make you look like a freaking all-star!
Good luck this 2ww!
Good for you for saying something, I always want to, I get bitchy enough to, but then I don't feel like it's worth the effort. Good luck with the 2ww with the husband away, hopefully the girls will help distract you a little.
Thanks for your comment on my blog :-)
I hope your 2WW goes quickly and without any more stress (at least no more than the normal amount of stress :-))
Yoga is supposed to be RELAXIN'!! You shouldn't have to deal with that. THank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such sweet comments
insurance??? grrrr... there's no bigger nightmare next to the entire IF process than dealing with the insurance companies. I hope that works out for you. If you are covered, you're already a step ahead of many people, but they are still a huge pain in the arse!
Thanks for visiting me. Good luck on the DIY cycle. The whole IF experience is crappo. Best wishes to you and fingers crossed.
thanks for coming to see me!
Ok, so in my opinion that instructor sucks. who gets mad during freakin yoga?!
Here's to a fast (and successfull) 2WW. T's and P's are with you!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I despise dealing with the insurance company. My husband thinks they are running a scam where they "accidentally" bill you for things that are supposed to be covered.
I hope you can wade through some of the crap so life is a little less stressful.
Oh goodness, screw the instructor (not literally, of course).
You're paying for a service, and plainly it sucks!
I don't know anybody that derives pleasure from paying to be treated like crap. It's just not a mainstream hobby :)
Fingers crossed for the TWW.
As just about everyone else has commented, good for you to talk to the yoga studio owner! You are not taking yoga to make yourself more stressed out, after all.
I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. I think have a cycle cancelled or postponed as you have is almost as much stress as going through the cycle. It just throws you off-balance, like taking a swing at a pitch and missing the ball. Hang in there.
A stress-inducing yoga instructor! What an oxymoron...or just a moron. I've been meaning to get back into my yoga, esp to help me out during the 2ww. Other than this unfortunate incident...do you find it helps you with your overall stress coping skills?
Good for you reporting the instructor. I can't believe a yoga instructor would act like that.
