Perspective

I'm having a rather shitty day. It's raining, weekend plans didn't go as smoothly as I'd wished, Aaron needed a root canal that cost us $1000 in co-pays and we need to figure out how to put in a well (thanks to our community well going bankrupt).

I was starting to feel all depressed about money (or lack thereof) and realized that we are rich. We've got two wonderful kids and a pretty great family and all will work out in the end.

I'm sorry. All that stuff does suck (although I don't mind rain). I'm glad it is helping you to keep it in perspective, although it's okay to feel frustrated by it all. A well?! That's going to be a challenge.

You do have wonderful kids.

I hope the rest of the day is better!

Thank you.
You don't know me...but I've been following your blog for a while now.
My hubby and I moved with our 3 year old son back in March for his job....I've been job hunting ever since....I got turned down today for 5 different jobs....Its Monday...and I'll be another year older on Wednesday.
Probably the worst b-day I've had ever.....
but you are right. I am rich in the ways that matter....all else doesn't compare.
So, thank you!

That is insane for a dental visit. I often tell myself I went into the wrong field.

Hard not to get in a slump when one thing after another happens, so good for you for focusing on your two beautiful blessings.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad day :( glad to hear that you can see what really matters in life, no matter what the problems are. Hope you are feeling better today. All the best.

I love how much dental work costs even when you have "insurance". Ugh. It sucks when everything hits at once, but perspective is very, very important.

I love, love, love this post and I wish I could remember things like this at the right time. I'm bookmarking your post to be my kick in the ass when I need it.

Hope Tuesday is better.

Sorry things aren't going so well for you but I just have to say how awesome you are for taking the "glass is half full" attitude.
