Well. My BP was still high when I first got on all the monitors, but once I laid on my left hand side, it totally settled down. The baby looked 'gorgeous' said my doc, and no protein in my urine. So I was free to leave! Hurrah. No more checkups until my scheduled doc visit on Wednesday morning.
My doc also said that once I had the baby, all would be well - and I joked with him that the other doc (this is a new guy that just joined the practice) said I could go two weeks over my due date. my doc laughed and said - he is new - he doesn't get the make the calls. So - guess I'm going to have a baby no matter what by Dec 12th. As I was leaving he said - ok - go into labor now! And laughed.
We also installed the car seats today! It's a little crazy to have a car seat in the back of my car - crazy good.

I have the car seats in our cars too and it feels like we are cheating.
Now that you have the car seat installed, make sure you know how to remove it (although why do I think this is assvice only Ted and I would have needed?).
When I was discharged, Ted went to the garage to get the car seat and was gone for 45 minutes. He couldn't get the seat out of the base, so he removed the whole thing and was on his knees wrestling with it in the garage until a kind woman came along, popped the seat out of the base with two fingers and said, "New dad?"

Take it easy and hopefully your body will do what needs to be done on it's own. I wouldn't wish an induction on anyone!
Glad the test went well. I can't believe you haven't delivered yet. Perhaps your husband will be right on with Dec 7. Wouldn't that be funny?
