Friday Night Leftovers

  • I need a really good cry. A full out, sob. Every time I start to cry, I manage to 'pull myself together' and stop. But I feel like if I could just have a real cry - I would feel better

  • Work is annoying this week

  • I saw Fast Five twice this week. Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel. Yum yum yum.

  • I also need a real vacation. A real, carefree span of time where I can just have fun. Not hear any whining or crying, get drunk, have crazy hotel sex, get a massage, dress in a fun outfit and have a wonderful dinner.

  • On the same theme - this weekend is Mother's Day. Aaron got me tickets to the Red Sox. I'm taking my mother - who loves the red Sox with a white hot passion. She is crazy excited. It's exactly what she wants to do.

  • Me? I want to sleep in, get breakfast in bed and relax. Not drive into Boston.

  • Oh, and a Pandora bracelet. I want one of those too.

  • I am so very, very happy that it's Friday.

Go see Danifred for more Friday Night leftovers.

I love this Friday Night Leftovers idea! Your mother's day plans sound fun, and perfect. But real vacation? What is that?

Go lock yourself in your room and cry. I've had to do that a few times. I even forced it once because I thought I needed it.

You can get cheap-ish hotel rooms at the last minute in Boston. (4* for under $100). That's what I always used to do when I got tickets (oh, that drive into the city--fine going down, but stinks going home!). There's a website called Betterbidding.com that explains how to bid so you kinda sorta know what you are getting. I highly recommend, and it gives you a mini vacation you kind of sound like you need!

PS The hotel rooms are via Priceline. Betterbidding gives you the bidding STRATEGY (crazy, I know, but I've followed it repeatedly all over the US/Europe, and it works).

Give yourself the gift of a good cry- and then don't worry when your face is blotchy and red afterwards...you need it. My cries come out when I least expect- but that is probably why they are coming out...I'm too busy to notice myself.

I agree, go lock yourself in your room and let it all out.
