Feeling the love

Again - thanks for all the kind comments. Sounds like I may have helped a few of you consider going to the gym! And that's great. In response to all your comments - I guess I do have a healthy outlook on my size. One thing that certainly helps is that, despite my size, I've always been athletic. So - being strong and knowing what my body was capable of is empowering. But also - I have a partner that truly thinks I am beautiful. He thinks I'm hot shit. And, doesn't stop saying it, over and over and over.

I think he loves me!

Ha. Speaking of the man that loves me, he is coming home early from Vegas. He was able to give his presentation yesterday, and told me that it went really well... but his hives are still there. And his hands are swollen to twice their normal size. He just wants to come home and go to the doctor and get this fixed! Which is good for both of us. I like having a little bit of time alone, but after a few days I get lonely. I'm really looking forward to seeing him tonight!

No new IVF news. I'm one week into the 2ww... and still haven't heard from the insurance lady. I think I'm going to call on Monday if I still haven't heard. And I think I'm going to force myself to resist POSing until the 30th. Think I can last?

There's something to be said for knowing what your body can do. It's funny - the best I feel about my body is when I feel a connection to it. Like when my muscles are slightly sore from a good workout in the morning.

:) Your husband sounds fantastic, by the way. I hope he can get some steroids or something to get rid of those hives. Poor guy!

It sounds like you have an awesome husband there. Hopefully those hives go away soon. What a pain.

I know what you mean about being lonely when your DH is away. I sometimes look forward to him a little time to myself, espcially the first evening, just sitting around reading a book, but by around bedtime, I start to wish he were back. And by the second day, I'm head over heals missing him!

Good luck with your last week of the 2ww!

Despite the endlessly obnoxious images that the media forces in our direction, only a few people are biologically designed to be very thin. What's important is that you take care of your body and give it some exercise and eat relatively healthy. Whatever size your body is meant to be will be beautiful becuase it's natural.

This comes from a woman who spent a decade trying to make her body much thinner than it wanted to be. So, I am an expert. :-)

Sounds like your husband is a great guy! Hope that he feels better soon. Hope that the remainder of your 2ww goes quickly and that you have a BFP at the end!

Hi. Thanks for dropping by today. Well, as for what your learning prior to your first IVF -- I hope we're not all scaring you too much.
Despite my complaining about the progesterone, I have to say that I've been really lucky when it comes to how my body has reacted to the meds -- no major side effects or problems. I hope you'll be as lucky. Actually, I hope you won't need to go that route, but if you do...

Can I confess that I'm thinking of POASing after my trigger shot. Just so I can see two lines. How daft is that?

I have faith that you can hold out on the pee sticks!

Hold out, hold out! Cuz if it says negative, you won't want to believe it, and if it says positive, you won't want to let yourself believe it in case it's wrong. Hold out as long as you can - you can do it:-)

Your poor husband, bless his heart. I hope his hands get better.

Good luck with the POAS resistance.

You are a lucky gal. And yes, I think you can resist POAS. Good luck, and enjoy the weekend.

When is your beta test due? Hold out, you know you don't want to be wondering "what if it is wrong", that never helps. :)

Hang in there Chickie!

Give your hubby some love from all us gals that think he's a sweetheart for being so supportive. ;)
